The United States International Trade Commission Extends Ruling on Raw Flexible Magnets from China and Taiwan

The ITC has extended its ruling regarding countervailing duties on raw flexible magnets from China as well as its antidumping duty on raw flexible magnets from China and Taiwan. The decision of five years ago remains in place and will not be up for review again until 2019. Penalties in excess of 185% in some cases remain in place.

John Kanis, MagX America's Vice President and General Manager states "MagX has a long and proud history in the flexible magnetic industry. We developed the first flexible magnetic sheeting ever made in 1965, long before our Chinese, Taiwanese or even our American competitors existed. Today, we are still considered to be the global leader in flexible magnetic technology. We have never been the focus of this or any other investigation and we remain unaffected by the action taken. However, our Chinese and Taiwanese competitors are not so fortunate".
